What do we do?

The XVII century is defined by the change brought about previous centuries, leading to Modernity in philosophy, embodied by Descartes, and in turn strengthening the scientific revolution that began in the sixteenth century. Descartes's contribution to human knowledge can not be focused only in the field of philosophy, but also of science and, particularly, in medicine. For this reason, a thorough study of the work of Descartes can only be made from an interdisciplinary perspective that links the work of several researchers from various aspects. The creation of an interdisciplinary network of Descartes and Science responds to this concern and aims to connect organizations with diverse academic researchers interested on this subject.

Therefore, the objective of this web is linking international researchers whose interest  is focused on the study of the relationship between scientific knowledge and Cartesian thought and science in the seventeenth century.
